like credits, reliving this final act,

by the possibilities?

why so soon this sour end to a 
year and a half of my loyalty? The 
unfailing, utterly dependable faith that 
you wasted with your casual betrayal.

Can you set the scene?

Does she look deep into my eyes, piercing
with lust, provocative and commanding -
No - she glances up then to the floor,
apprehensive and vulnerable.

Maybe she smiled, maybe she strolled 
to the bed, maybe she strutted?
Or did she take me by the hand, lean
close and utter all the secret longings
you never confided? Tell all the truths
you never deciphered? Hold me close, 
squeeze or touch light as a feather,

Do you see us together?
.
I know you see us together, folds
of feminine skin, both pale but
pink within, soft and tender, 
completely, irrevocably 
immersed, in our casual betrayal.
