today you are leaving, 
our honeymoon 
has barely begun.

at our thousandth 
beginning and end 
the molten goodbyes 
fade to one..
.
familiar pain, 
to known disgrace.
.
our casual shame..
.
god knows our violations..
was nothing sacred?
.
nothing was sacred!
.
we had to splinter
love from faith 
our casual shame.. 
.
to purify once 
virgin hearts;
unbreak the broken, 
splintered parts.
.
time is neither our
enemy nor friend -
we are forever stuck in 
the beginning or the end.
