Recurse has many dirty secrets surrounding this whole thing. He'd rather not admit to anyone in the real world that he has ever been on anything like a chatroom, but the truth is that he has shown up on the Undernet on and off since 1992. He also doesn't like to admit to others that he likes to write and certainly not poetry. Saying you're a poet is exactly equivalent to saying you're an artist - without audience self-discovery, it's a preposterous claim. When Recurse is with a group of people who write, then his dirty secret changes and he'd rather not admit that he's a systems analyst. If he is forced to admit this, he'll only do so with the added tag line, "please don't hold this against me."
Just good advice:
1) Do what ever it is that will make you money, because then you'll be able to afford to do what you really want to do.
2) Find someone that will make you laugh, because everything (I do mean everything) else you can take care of yourself.
3) Tell all the children in your life that they will grow up to be wise, because without you telling them time and again that this is their goal, they'll likely go after what ever it is the media tell them to.
